"Opportunity Station" – Breaking Limits, Reaching the Future

As part of the TVET project, the Research Center for Inclusive Development (RCI) held the networking event “Opportunity Station – Breaking Limits, Reaching the Future,” an initiative fully led and executed by young people with disabilities who serve as the project’s own ambassadors.

Aimed at raising awareness of diversity in the labor capabilities of youth with disabilities, the event also sought to connect resources for employment support, career guidance, and recruitment among young people with disabilities, their parents, and employers.

Activities at the “Opportunity Station” buzzed with energy, featuring hands-on career experiences such as barista training and hairdressing led by visually and hearing-impaired youth, sign-language workshops, and one-on-one job counseling provided by partnering organizations.

During the corporate panel discussion, Ngọc Thanh Phúc, representative of Lilforest, shared insights into the company’s journey of inclusion with its exceptional employees: “It would be untrue to say there were no challenges, but when a business is truly committed and determined, every barrier can be overcome.”

The “Opportunity Station” event was far more than a simple gathering—it marked the starting point for stronger, more independent and sustainable futures for young people with disabilities, where every opportunity extended ignites a new spark of hope.
