Driven by a mission to create sustainable employment and unlock the creative potential of people with disabilities, Lilforest — a natural handcrafted products brand — has launched its Training & Recruitment Program for workers with disabilities, marking the start of a green, humane, and sustainable development journey.
In October 2023, Lilforest representatives held their first meeting with the Hanoi Association of People with Disabilities (DP Hanoi). During this initial discussion, both sides shared a common vision: to build a green, inclusive workplace where disadvantaged individuals can not only learn valuable skills but also take pride and find dignity in their work.

That meeting marked the moment Lilforest began drafting a concrete training plan tailored specifically for people with disabilities. The curriculum was carefully designed to match each individual’s abilities, focusing on preserved-moss craftsmanship, hands-on lessons in composition and color coordination, and the full production process for terrariums — 100% handmade products that breathe nature.
Lilforest firmly believes that every pair of hands, no matter how different, can create beauty. Each finished piece stands as living proof of the perseverance, meticulous care, and deep love for nature shown by its makers with disabilities.
Though the project is still in its early days, that first encounter planted seeds of trust and partnership between the business and the disability community. Both sides now share a clear vision of a future in which “special hands” craft “special products.”
In the coming months, Lilforest will continue working closely with the Hanoi Association of People with Disabilities to take part in job fairs, promote green employment opportunities across the city, and expand sustainable livelihoods for those who need them most.
“That very first meeting was far more than just a conversation.” a Lilforest spokesperson said. “It was the first step on a journey of a thousand miles — a journey to bring the color green not only to our products, but to people’s lives.”
Guided by its philosophy of “green – humane – sustainable” business, Lilforest hopes this model will lay the foundation for a thriving, inclusive community where everyone, regardless of circumstance, can contribute something beautiful to the world.
